Mobile Merchandising+ with product education for Anker Innovations
For Anker Innovations, we created the Mobile Merchandising+ model, which combines regular exposure work with product education for sales teams. As a result, activities at the point of sale support both product visibility and the quality of customer recommendations.
Context of the partnership
Anker Innovations develops a broad portfolio of consumer electronics products, including the Anker, soundcore, and eufy brands. In the Consumer Electronics (CE) category, sales are driven not only by availability and proper exposure, but also by the salesperson's knowledge and ability to present the differences between products to the customer. Therefore, classic merchandising has been expanded to include an educational component, creating a model that addresses both of these challenges simultaneously.
Project goal
Combining high-quality exposure with building the product knowledge of sales teams in CE chains. The goal was to create a model in which a single visit fulfills two tasks: it ensures the proper presence of products at the point of sale and simultaneously increases the competencies of the individuals responsible for recommending them to customers.
How we worked
IQFM is responsible for executing a hybrid model combining merchandising activities with ongoing product education for retail chain employees.
-
Merchandising
-
Product training
-
Exposure audit
-
Availability control
-
Support for sales knowledge
Measurable outcomes
The Mobile Merchandising+ model makes it possible to use every visit not only to control and improve exposure, but also to directly strengthen the knowledge of sales teams.
Merchandising and product education carried out during a single visit.
Regular contact with retail chain employees and support for their product competencies.
Control of portfolio visibility and availability across various chains.
Better knowledge among salespeople helps them recommend the right products to customers more effectively.
The Anker case demonstrates how expanding traditional merchandising with training competencies allows for impacting both the shelf and sales quality simultaneously, creating a support model tailored to the specifics of the consumer electronics industry.
